We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Richard Varnum, age 51, of Damascus, GA who passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at his residence. Memorial services for Mr. Varnum will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Hornsby officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Varnum was born in Seminole County on May 15, 1957 to the late Clarence and Lucy Pearl Benton Varnum. He worked as a roofer and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by one brother, Ronnie Varnum and his wife Ellen; one sister, Lisa Temples and her husband Robin; one nephew, Blake Temples; a niece, Michelle Cooper all of Damascus, GA; and a niece, Denese Starr of Donalsonville, GA. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
