JEWELL CUNNINGHAM

Jewell Kathrine Ezell Cunningham, age 98, of Iron City, GA passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Cunningham will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Dustin Ward, Michael Kirkland, Wayne Dozier, Jimmy Jones, Dave Preston, and Fred Brackin serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Cunningham was born in Pinkard, Alabama on April 8, 1916 to Walter and Julie Sellers Ezell. She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church. She was a Godly woman who loved serving her church and being with her family. She and her husband, Robert Henry Cunningham, were married for over 50 years before he passed away in 1985. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Gladys Ward of Donalsonville, GA; two grandchildren, Gary Cunningham and his wife Pam of Donalsonville, GA and Kay Cruickshank and her husband Doug of Alpharetta, GA; and four great grandchildren, Stewart Cruickshank of Columbus, OH, Duncan Cruickshank of Alpharetta, GA, and Will Cunningham and Ben Cunningham both of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Cunningham of Donalsonville, GA, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Ezell and Julie Sellers Ezell; her son, Bob Cunningham; three sisters; and 1 brother.
