VERA McMILLAN McANNALLY

October 31, 1941 — June 13, 2014

Vera McMillan McAnnally, age 72, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday evening, June 13, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services for Ms. McAnnally will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Mike Heath officiating. Interment will follow in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with William Jones, Murrey Ingram, Rocky Phillips, Chad Phillips, Tim McMillan, and Glenn McMillan serving as active casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers will be Paul Phillips and Brantley McMillan. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, June 15, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Ms. McAnnally was born in Donalsonville, GA on October 31, 1941 to Charlie B. and Mazie Robinson McMillan. She was a homemaker and loved decorating for Christmas every year. Ms. Vera loved to play Farmville and she enjoyed making sure her flowers and her yards were pretty. She was a big fan of sports, especially the Atlanta Braves. People stopping by to visit with her was especially enjoyable to Ms. Vera. Her daughters were the loves of her life. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Barbara Railey (Sam) of Ozark, AL, Merita Phillips, Teresa Yanez (Mike), and Paula Lindsey (Justino Bautista) all of Donalsonville, GA; four brothers, Haze McMillan, Bryant McMillan (Maxine), Leonard McMillan (Sandra) and Carl McMillan; her grandchildren, Joni Phillips, Crystal Elmore (Jason), Brandi Spurling, Kimberely Shoub (James), Lucas Phillips, Andy Stewart, Calob Yanez, Selena Yanez, Ronnie Lindsey, Ashley Lindsey (Robert), and Nikki Lindsey; her great grandchildren, David Ingram, Devin Hearndon, Maegan Hearndon, and Morgan Hearndon, Kelsey Carter, Ansleigh Altman, Cole Altman, Parker Altman, and Preston Altman, Harleigh Taylor, Seith Shoub, Lindsey Shoub, Colin Shoub, Caden Shoub, T.J. Lindsey, Madison Kelly, Amber Lindsey, and Hayden Lindsey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two special phone buddies, Maxine McMillan and Rhonda Lynn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie B. and Mazie Robinson McMillan; her husband, Howard McAnnally; her sister, Jaunita McKeller; and twin sons, Rickey and Mickey Baxter. We would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, especially Karen and Marie. We would also like to express our thanks to Terry Phillips for coming every time we called.
