We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Jane Clarke Wisham, age 77, of Donalsonville who passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 at her residence. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Carnley and Dr. Edwin Willis officating. A Luau/Wake will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 5:00 PM at the Wisham home for friends and family. Mrs. Wisham was born in Hazelhurst, GA on May 17, 1931 to the late Evelyn Barnes and H.B. Hurley, Sr. She was a 1948 graduate of Moultrie High School and majored in Insurance at the University of Georgia. She was an Insurance Broker by profession, specializing in Property & Casualty Insurance. She was married to the late J. Russell Clarke, Jr. and later married a lifelong friend and former classmate, James Milton Wisham in l999. A beloved aunt and sister, she played a prominant role in the lives of her brother's family. Mrs. Wisham had been a resident of Holly Isles since 1982, was an active member of Reynolds Chapel Methodist Church Auxillary and an active volunteer of Memorial Hospital/Manor in Bainbridge, GA and the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department. She is survived by her husband, James Milton Wisham of Donalsonville, GA; brother, H.B. Hurley, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Norman Park, GA; nephew, Scooter Hurley, nieces Cindy Bowles, Lori Sumler and Kathi Hatcher; great nieces, Erin Rudeseal, Rebecca Bowles, Robin Saunders and Lori Dorsey; two great-great nieces and 1 great-geat nephew and a beloved Shih-tzu dog, Chloe -- Queen of the House. She is also survived by son, James Wisham, daughters, Tina Patterson, Brenda Arnold and Susan Owens, grandchildren, Will and Kelly Patterson, Brandt and Breana Huck, Shayna, Taylor and Cassey Owens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Barnes and H. B. Hurley, Sr. and her first husband, J. Russell Clarke, Jr. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church, 2676 Burke Rd. Donalsonville, GA 39845.
