We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Marvin Eugene Abele, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away at Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, GA on Sunday, August 3, 2008. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Abele was born in Johnstown, PA on October 27, 1931 to the late Phillip and Alice Elliott Abele. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean war. He was President of an Aviation Corporation, treasurer of Holly Isles East Homeowner's Association, and a long time member and former officer of the area Bass Club. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Abele of Donalsonville, GA; one son, Shawn Abele of Holbrook, NY; one daughter, Sharon Abele of Niceville, FL; one sister, Frances Rosenberger of Johnstown, PA; one brother-in-law, Stephen Jendricks of Oakdale, NY; and one grandchild, Vanessa Hoppner of Niceville, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
