LORI BINDLEY JERNIGAN

We regret to announce the passing of Ms. Lori Bindley Jernigan, age 38, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, August 1, 2008 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Funeral services for Ms. Jernigan will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Stanley Phillips and Rev. Kirk Loyless officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, August 4, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Ms. Jernigan was born in Jacksonville, FL on Feb. 10, 1970 to Tom and Mattie Lou Dinkins Bindley. She graduated from Seminole County High School in Donalsonville, GA in 1988. She attended Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa, serving as that organization's President. She received the Most Distinguished President in the Nation Award while serving as the President. She graduated from Andrew College in 1990 with an Associates of Science Degree. Lori went on to complete her education at the University of Georgia, where she graduated in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. While attending UGA, she was a member of the Baptist Student Union's vocal group. This was a result of Lori's love for music, and her wonderful vocal talent. Ms. Jernigan was employed with Meridian Health Care of Tallahassee, FL, where she worked as a CPA. She attended the Christian Heritage Church of Tallahassee. Ms. Jernigan leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Matthew Jernigan of Donalsonville, GA; her mother, Mattie Lou Bindley of Donalsonville, GA; her father, Tom Bindley of Dothan, AL; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. Casketbearers will be Ken Stuart, Vic Stuart, Trowell Jernigan, Mark Whittaker, Bubba Roberts, and Trent Batchelor. Honorary casketbearers will be members of the SCHS Class of 1988, as well as members of the Southwest Georgia Academy Class of 2015.
