Cenette Celia Alday

Cenette Celia Brogdon Alday , age 75, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her residence.  Funeral services for Mrs. Alday will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Merritt officiating.  Interment will follow in Thomas Allen Alday Family Cemetery on Highway 39 with Robin Faircloth, Michael Trim, Ricky Alday, Brian Alday, Josh Merritt and Randy Hatcher serving as active pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Yates, Chuck Faircloth and Calvin Atkinson. Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA  Mrs. Alday was born in Chattahoochee, FL October 27, 1938 to Pete and Thelma Zell Shepard Brogdon.   She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Supervisor at Shaw Industries.  She is survived by her children, Debbie Merritt (Edwin); Sherry Alday (Mikey); Timothy “Buck” Alday (Rhonda); Danny Boy Alday (Shelia), Faith Bentley and Angie Regan; grandchildren, Robert Rentz, Brian Alday (Ashley), Michael Moncrief, Henry Williamson, Michell Trim (Michael), Casey McCalvin, Leann Chapple, Josh Merritt (Joclyn), Jessie Hatcher and D.J. Lynn.  She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and her brother, Ed Willie Brodgon.  Mrs. Alday was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Thelma Zell Shepard Brogdon.; her husband, William Eugene Alday; a daughter, Amanda Nicole Alday; brothers and sisters, Larry Brodgon, Lelia Johnson, Lamar Brogdon, and Hilda Johnson.
