We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Myrtle Dickens Yarborough, age 99, who passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008, at the Marianna Health and Rehab Center in Marianna, FL. Funeral services for Mrs. Yarborough will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 10:00 AM EST in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with the Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Bascom, FL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, from 6:00-8:00 PM EST time at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Yarborough was born on April 9, 1909 in Jackson County, FL to the late Joel and Linda Frances Helms Dickens. She was married to the late Claude Yarborough and was a member of Hickory Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Bascom, FL. She is survived by one brother, Hayes Dickens of Sneads, FL; one sister, Clara Grace Rathel of Bascom, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Gene Yarborough and Oswald Yarborough, one daughter, Mary Ruth Yarborough, four brothers, Jeff Dickens, Joe Dickens, Cary Dickens and Angus Dickens and three sisters, Annie Skipper, Estelle Hamilton and Ophelia Kirkland. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
