WILLIAM RUDOLPH DRAKE

Mr. William Rudolph Drake, age 83, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Plantation Manor in Thomasville, GA.A graveside service for Mr. Drake will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, April 1, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.Mr. Drake was born November 4, 1930 in Seminole County, GA to Lee Drake and Easter Quick Drake.  He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of military service.  He also drove a school bus for Seminole County School System for 12 years.  He loved his family and fishing trips to Kennedy Creek.  Mr. Rudolph also enjoyed his friends at Donalsonville Motor Company.He is survived by two daughters, Gail Calhoun and Denise Childree and a son, William R. Drake, Jr.; six grandchildren, Lora Leigh Drake, Sloan Childree and his wife Leslie, Brian Childree and his wife Dalisha, Amanda Rentz and her husband Kevin, Heather Burke, and Jason Stewart; as well as 9 great grandchildren, Meribeth Childree, Elizabeth Childree, Ashton Childree, Kaleb Phillips, Calhie Jane Rentz, Devan Burke, Kelsey Burke, Austin Stewart, and Chase Stewart.  Mr. Drake is also survived by his siblings, Annette McLeod, Thomas Drake, and Lowell Drake.Mr. Drake was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Joiner Drake; his parents, Lee and Easter Quick Drake; and a grandson, Justin Calhoun.
