JOAN COFIELD COBB

Mrs. Joan Cofield Cobb, age 71, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday morning, February 14, 2014 at her residence.   Funeral services for Mrs. Cobb will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. David Jamison and Rev. Dan Jessop officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church.   Mrs. Cobb was born in Roanoke, Alabama on January 12, 1943 to William Mark Cofield and Martha Ferrell Hudson Cofield.  She was a homemaker and active member of the First Presbyterian Church.  She was also active in the Garden Club for a number of years and loved to work outside in her beautiful flowerbeds.   She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Lamar Cobb of Donalsonville, GA; two sons, Dr. Mark J. Cobb “Jimmy” and his wife Dr. Shari Cobb of Athens, GA and William Byron Cobb of Athens, GA; a daughter, Kelly Joann Earnest and her husband Mark of Clayton, GA; and four grandchildren, Lucian Garrett Cobb, Melissa Kathryn Cobb, Anna Michelle Cobb, and Emily Camille Earnest.   Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her parents, William Mark Cofield and Martha F. Hudson Cofield and a sister.
