Mrs. Sybil Jeanette Thompson Carroll, age 82, of Thomasville, GA passed away Wednesday morning, January 22, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Donalsonville Church of God with Rev. Greg Player officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA with Ed Echols, Kris Echols, Jace Heard, Scott Wiggins, Steven Wiggins, and Matthew Wiggins serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Carroll was born in Bainbridge, GA on August 29, 1931 to James William Thompson and Fannie Mae Denton Thompson. She was a homemaker and member of Patten Holiness Church in Thomasville, GA. She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Glenda Echols and her husband Charles of Boston, GA, Delores Heard of Bainbridge, GA, Gayle Eakin of Donalsonville, GA, and Barbara Ann Wiggins of Marianna, FL; six grandchildren, Ed Echols and his wife Lori, Kris Echols and his wife Rachael, Jace Heard and his wife Brittney, Shannon Heard, Scott Wiggins and his wife Tori, and Steven Wiggins and his wife Deanne; as well as nine great grandchildren, Marisa Echols, Collin Echols, Baylor Echols, Dylan Echols, Wesley Wiggins, Brian Wiggins, Matthew Wiggins, Cameron Oliver and Reagan Oliver. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her parents, James William Thompson and Fannie Mae Denton Thompson; her first husband, Edsel Eakin; her second husband, Byron Carroll; as well as her brothers and sisters.
