We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Karl Richards, age 79, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Donalsonville Hospital. A Memorial service will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Gerald Hollis and Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Mr. Richards was born in Mobile, AL on April 1, 1929 to the late George and Lola Richards. He was a retired general manager for WCOV a radio/TV station in Montgomery, AL. Mr. Richards was also a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, member of Men on Missions at Spring Creek, Sunday School Director at one time, member of the choir and was a volunteer with the youth soccer program. He is survived by his wife Armilla Richards of Donalsonville, GA; one son, Karl Michael Richards of Cumming, GA; two daughters, Teresa Ellen Richards of Montgomery, AL; Karla A. Messenger and her husband Charles D. Messenger of Scottsville, KY two brothers, Juan Price and his wife Gail of Slidell, LA; Dorsey Price of CA; one sister, Joy Middleton of Chickasaw, AL; a sister-in-law Bonnie Swanner of Donalsonville, GA; a brother-in-law Judson Ryals Mitchell of Marianna, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
