We regret to announce the passing of Walton J. Hawkins, age 82, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, at 4:00 PM at Oakview Church of God in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Mylan Brookins and Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 21, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Hawkins was born in Dale County, AL on April 26, 1923 to the late Thomas Jackson and Beatrice Brookins Hawkins. He worked as an auto body shop repairman before retiring, was a member of Oakview Church of God and Oakview Prime Timers. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Ola Hawkins of Donalsonville, GA; three daughters, Glenda Howard and her husband Dick of Jakin, GA; Charlotte Roberts and Debbie Brookins and her husband Rev. Mylan all of Donalsonville; two brothers Eugene Hawkins and his wife Laverne of Albany, GA; Robert Hawkins and his wife Georgianne of Donalsonville; one sister Louise Mims and her husband J.C. of Donalsonville, GA. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one great grandchild C. J. Polk. Pallbearers will be Jack Herring, Brad Thompson, Scott Howard, Will Trawick, Matthew Brookins and Phillip Spooner. Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrasss Hospice, 432 Shotwell St, Bainbridge, GA 39817. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
