WILLIAM BOYD HANKS

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. William Boyd Hanks, age 55, of Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Hanks passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Hanks will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA at 2:00 PM with Rev. Talmadge Worsely officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens with William Bramlett, John Baker, Kenneth Star, Kenneth Allen Star, Brian Buckhaulter and Tyler Buckhaulter serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Hanks was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 3, 1958 to William Lafyette Hanks and Dorothy Skipper Hanks. He loved living in the country and spending time with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Monica Hanks; two brothers, Earnest Hanks and his wife Zelda of Donalsonville, GA and Johnny Hanks and his wife Deanie of Webb, AL; and a sister, Dianne Bradshaw of Colquitt, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hanks was preceded in death by his parents, William Lafyette Hanks and Dorothy Skipper Hanks Elkins; his step-father, Charlie Lee Elkins; and one sister, Carolyn Varnum.
