We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Audrey Miller Yearta, age 97, who passed away on Thursday May 29, 2008, at Wesley Manor Nursing Home in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Yearta will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Joe Johnson and Rev. Sandy Lacey officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Yearta was born in Decatur Co., GA on September 10, 1910 to the late Jeff and Mary Katherine Harlow Miller. She was married to John Walter Yearta, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Yearta was a homemaker and a member of Unity Church of God in Iron City, GA. Mrs. Yearta leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, William Malcolm Yearta and his wife Joye of Moultrie, GA and Walter Lowell Yearta and his wife Martha of Dothan, AL; five grandchildren, Lisa Kaye Yearta of Charlotte, NC, William Joseph Yearta and his wife Susan of Sylvester, GA, Martha Jane Yearta Bloodworth of Dothan, AL; Stephen Micheal Yearta and his wife Maureen of Moultrie, GA, and John Carlton Yearta of Moultrie, GA; six great grandchildren, Mary Catherine Yearta, John Yearta, Jessica Bloodworth, Anne Yearta, Andrew Lowell Bloodworth, and Cliff Yearta; two sisters, Susie Middleton of Iron City, GA and Bessie Dawson of Donalsonville, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Mary Katherine Harlow Miller; her husband, John Walter Yearta; six brothers; and one sister. The grandsons and great grandsons will serve as casketbearers.
