Billy LeDon "Don" Rentz

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Billy LeDon “Don” Rentz, age 66, of Brinson, GA. Mr. Rentz passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Noland Hospital in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Rentz will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Iron City Baptist Church with Rev. Ellis Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Rentz was born in Bainbridge, GA on May 21, 1947 to the late Marvin Rentz and Doris Davis Rentz. Mr. Rentz was a lifelong resident of Brinson, GA and a member of Iron City Baptist Church. He established and managed Rentz Irrigation from 1971 until 2003. After retiring from the irrigation business, he was a self-employed log truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Sanders Rentz of Brinson, GA; sons, Jimmy Rentz and his wife Sandy of Bainbridge, GA and Jeff Hatcher of Brinson, GA; daughters, Kristie McGahagan and her husband Patrick of Atlanta, GA, April Rentz of Valdosta, GA, Alison Rentz of Brinson, GA, Jana Powell and her husband Michael of Brinson, GA and Amy Bagwell of Iron City, GA; brothers, Steve Rentz and his wife Pat of Bainbridge, GA, Gary Rentz and his wife June of Brinson, GA and Dennis Rentz. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Rentz and Doris Davis Rentz; and a daughter, Jill Hatcher.
