CHARLIE LEE ELKINS

WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF MR. CHARLIE LEE ELKINS, AGE 71, OF DONALSONVILLE, GA WHO PASSED AWAY MONDAY, NOV. 14,2005 AT HIS RESIDENCE. Graveside service for Mr. Elkins will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Harvey Lee Henderson officiating. Mr. Elkins was born in Russell County, AL on August 4, 1934 to the late John R. and Janie Kyte Elkins. He served his country in the US Air Force; was a painter, and a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Skipper Elkins of Donalsonville, GA; three sons, Johnny Hanks of Webb, AL; Boyd Hanks of Union Springs, AL; Gene Hanks of Valdosta, GA; a daughter Diane Bradshaw of Colquitt, GA; a sister Vetral Robinson of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Carolyn Varnum. Pallbearers will be William Bramlett, Brian Buckhaulter, Adam Faulk, Pat Bell, Johnny Hanks and Jim Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make memorial contributions to Wiregrass Hospice, 432 Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817.
