LYDIA ELIZABETH SUMMERALL JERNIGAN

WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF MRS. LYDIA JERNIGAN, AGE 84, OF DONALSONVILLE, GA WHO PASSED AWAY SUNDAY MORNING, NOV. 13, 2005, AT THE SOUTHEAST ALABAMA MEDICAL CENTER IN DOTHAN. FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. JERNIGAN WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY AFTERNOON, NOV. 14, 2005 AT 4:00 PM AT THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF DONALSONVILLE WITH DR. RON MCCASKILL OFFICIATING. INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW IN FRIENDSHIP CEMETERY. VISITATION WILL BE HELD AT THE CHURCH FROM 3:00 UNTIL 4:00 PM ON MONDAY. Mrs. Jernigan was born in Baxley, GA on January 16, 1921 to the late Morgan and Annie Sharpe Summerall. She was married to Woodrow Jernigan who preceded her in death in 1979. She had lived in this area for the past 60 years, was a member of First Baptist Church and also the Jubilees. She will be remembered by many as having worked at Davis' Jewelers for many years. She always had a loving smile and pleasing personality and will be missed by all her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Steve Jernigan and his wife Carolyn of Dothan, AL; Rick Jernigan and his wife Sandi of Cummings, GA; two daughters, Sharon Miller and her husband Gerald of Donalsonville, GA; Glenda Jernigan of Pt. Reyes, CA; one brother, Clifton Summerall of Austell, GA. Eight grandchildren, Vince, Ashley, John, Angie, Jafas, Saga, Eyon and Tela. Two great grandchildren Parker Jernigan and Nola Finey also survive. Pallbearers will be Vince Jernigan, Alex Jernigan, Trowel Jernigan, John Miller, Clifton Summerall, Jr. and Alford Herring. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, THE FAMILY REQUEST THAT MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS BE MADE TO THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH.
