FRANCES DUKES

We regret to announce the passing of Ms. Frances Dukes, age 82, of Donalsonville, GA. Ms. Dukes passed away Thursday morning, October 10, 2013 at Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Ms. Dukes will be held on Saturday morning, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the chapel. Ms. Dukes was born in Baker County, GA to William Thomas Dukes and Mattie Dukes. She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for many years at the IGA. Ms. Dukes was a member of First Baptist Church Donalsonville. She leaves several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. Active pallbearers will be Josh Newton, Kelly Ford, Mitch Blanks, Royce Stewart, Jeffery Stewart, and Troy Easom. Ms. Dukes was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Dukes and Mattie Dukes; six brothers, Frank Dukes, J.D. Dukes, Monroe Dukes, Hugh Dorsey, Homer Dukes, and Ralph Dukes, as well as one sister, Mattie Lou Davis.
