LESSIE LEONA TOOLE YOUNG

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lessie Leona Toole Young, age 96, of Jakin, GA. Mrs. Young passed away Sunday evening, September 29, 2013 at Pioneer Nursing Home in Blakely, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Oakview Church of God Cemetery with Robbie Young, Timmy Young, Faron Young, Steve McClellan, Joseph Knowles and Leonard Stuart serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Young was born in Colquitt, GA on November 9, 1916 to the late Oscar Jackson Toole and Lula Mae Philmon. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and a member of Oakview Church of God. She is survived by her sons, Roy “Shug” Young of Blakely, GA and Carl J. Young and his wife Judy of Jakin, GA; her daughter, Lessie Ruth Coloma of Roseburg, OR. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Jackson Toole and Lula Mae Philmon; her husband, Robert Hayden Young; a son, Robert Hayden “Junebug” Young, Jr. as well as six brothers and sisters.
