INEZ RUNNELS ALDAY

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Inez Runnels Alday, age 90, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday morning, May 9, 2008 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Alday will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Barwick and Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Alday was born in Miller County on August 12, 1917 to the late Henry and Annis Estelle Daniels Runnels. She worked as a nurse at the Donalsonville Hospital, also as a private duty nurse and was a homemaker. She was an active member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, serving in various positions in the church. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Carolyn Johnson and her husband Buddy of Donalsonville, GA, Relda King and her husband Larry of Donalsonville, GA, Peggy Clark and her husband Jackie Lee of Ocilla, GA, and Sue White and her husband Dewey of Donalsonville, GA; two sons, Aubrey "Benny" Alday and his wife Barbara of Donalsonville, GA and Curtis Alday and his wife Sharon of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Elvin Runnels and his wife Nancy of Colquitt, GA; one sister, Ruthie Jernigan of Colquitt, GA; two sister-in-laws, Hazel Runnels of Lakeland, FL and Lena Runnels of Colquitt, GA; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annis Estelle Daniels Runnels; her husband, Aubrey Alday; two sisters, Emma Houston and Jerlean Runnels; and two brothers, Frank Runnels and Henry Runnels, Jr. Active casketbearers will be the grandsons, Larry King, Jr., Greg Lindsey, Tony Johnson, Kenny King, Keith Alday, and Clint Touchton. Honorary casketbearers will be the granddaughters, Cheryl Barwick, Amy Batchelor, Sharon Key, Angie White, Shannon Adams, Kim Love, Denease Harrison, Tiffany Alday, Christine Alday, and LaWanda Green.
