Mr. Ralph Williams, age 65, of Atlanta, GA passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his residence. Memorial services for Mr. Williams will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Dr. AL Reese officiating. A second memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM Unity North Atlanta Church 4255 Sandy Plains Rd. Marietta, GA 30066. Mr. Williams was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 9, 1948 to the late Ralph Williams, Sr. and Cleo Jernigan Williams. Ralph was an only child. Ralph was in ROTC throughout high-school, and remained in ROTC through his years at Auburn University – 1966 to 1970. He joined the United States Army as Captain, immediately upon graduation. Following his Army service, Ralph returned to Bainbridge, Georgia and opened Williams Jewelers. After closing the store some years later, he began a career as a traveling salesman, and continued in this field until he became ill. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Kathy (Peacock) Beall-Williams of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Kimberly Anne Williams of Canton, GA and Susan Elizabeth “Libby” Brown and her husband Tim of Canton, GA; one granddaughter Ella Elizabeth Brown; and a Step-Son, Brian Chadwick Beall of Decatur, GA. Other family members include: Uncles and aunts, Marshall and Delma Williams of Donalsonville, GA, and Wyatt and Betty Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL; Brother-in-law Mike Peacock and wife, Cindy of Woodstock, Georgia, and Sister-in-law, Laura Rebecca “Becky” Powell of Garner, North Carolina. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Williams, Sr. and Cleo Jernigan Williams.
