Mrs. Elma Rae Powell Faircloth, age 74, of Brinson, GA passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Faircloth will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Salem Seminole Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Ellis Hardwick officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Shay Miller, Edward Comerford, Donell Powell, Stanley Harrell, Calvin Hunt, Craig Faircloth, Stacy Smith, and Lamont Smith serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 331 Wainhurst Ave. Brinson, GA following the graveside service until 6:00 PM. Mrs. Faircloth was born in Bainbridge, GA on September 25, 1938 to Jewel Powell and the late Ray Powell. She was a homemaker and seamstress for many years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Jewel Powell of Bainbridge, GA; her children, Debbie Harrell (Larry) of Brinson, GA, Frank Faircloth of Tallahassee, FL, Randy Faircloth (Cindy) of Brinson, GA, and Gale Weede (Ron) of Caryville, FL; her sisters, Lajean Williamson (James) of Bainbridge, GA, Linda Braswell of Reynoldsville, GA, Sandra Howell (Albert) of Columbus, GA, Phyllis Lane of Bainbridge, GA, Sherry Boyett of TyTy, GA; her brothers, Donell Powell and Steve Powell both of Bainbridge, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Renee Comerford, (Mitchell), Shay Miller, Rachel Obeidin, (Kinan), and Rebecca Faircloth and great grandchildren: Edward Comerford, Coleman Miller, Julie Miller and Ramsey Obeidin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin B. Faircloth, Jr.; her father, Ray Powell; a sister, Annette Knight; and two brothers, Kenneth Powell and Larry Powell.
