ALICE INEZ COULLITTE JORDAN

August 16, 1928 — July 28, 2013

Mrs. Alice Inez Coullitte Jordan, age 84, of Malone, FL passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Signature Healthcare at The Courtyard in Marianna, FL. Mrs. Jordan was born in Bascom, FL on August 16, 1928 to the late James Wilton Coullitte and Alma Inez Weston Coullitte. She was born and spent her early years in Malone, FL before moving to Gordon, AL where she lived for 66 years. After the passing of her husband, she returned to Malone where she remained until her passing. She worked as a correctional officer for the Houston County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 plus years. Mrs. Jordan was a Lifetime Member of the Order of Eastern Star. She held all offices in her chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as being Worthy Matron of her chapter twice. Mrs. Jordan loved her family as well as her church family. Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM (CST) at the First Baptist Church in Malone, FL. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Marianna, FL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the First Baptist Church in Malone. Mrs. Jordon leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Walter D. Coullitte (Nell) of Winter Haven, FL and Roy H. Coullitte (Geri) of Suffolk, VA; and two sisters, Hazel Mozley (Ed) of Malone, FL and Nell Baxter of Fort Walton Beach, FL; a nephew, Robert Lamar Jordan (Brenda) of Gordon, AL; and a niece, Peggy Elaine Jordan of Gordon, AL. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truett Jordan, her parents, James Wilton Coullitte and Alma Inez Weston Coullitte; a brother-in-law, Johnnie Baxter; and two nephews, Doug Coullitte and John Jordan. Flowers accepted or the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Malone, FL or The American Heart Association. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
