BETTY IRENE SHAW TAYLOR

February 2, 1923 — July 22, 2013

Mrs. Betty Irene Shaw Taylor, age 90, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday morning, July 22, 2013 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Taylor, a native of Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada, a United States citizen since the early 1960’s, retired to Donalsonville, GA in 1987. Mrs. Taylor was an active member of Friendship United Methodist Church and Garden Club in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Garth Duke-Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor leaves to cherish her memory two sons, William James Taylor (wife Martha) of Covington, GA, Steven Edward Taylor (wife Sherry) of Moultrie, GA; two daughters, Susan T. Mills (husband Jack) of Donalsonville, GA, and Mary T. Jarrett (Fiancé William Burnley) of Dothan, AL; two sisters, Kae Trimble (husband Hiram) of Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Phyllis Morrison of Hartney, Manitoba, Canada; and nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Taylor; her parents, Harry and Mary Elizabeth Shaw; and her brother, Jim Shaw. Pallbearers will be Brent Taylor, James Davis, Hal Mills, Chane Rathel, Ricky Hunt, and Reese Taylor. Flowers accepted or the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship United Methodist Church or Seminole County Library in Donalsonville, GA.
