We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Frenchie Bass Hatcher, age 93, of Bascom, FL. Mrs. Hatcher passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Westside Terrace in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Hatcher will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Woody Farrington and Rev. Chip Oakley officiating.. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Marianna, FL with Mike Jordan, Tim Watford, Steve Bailey, Linney Hasty, Allen Stephens and Jonathan Hasty service as casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers will be Steve Jordon, Grady Cloud, Tom Wagner, James Moneyham, and Harvey Standland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Hatcher was born in Malone, FL on April 28, 1920 to the late Charlie and Annie Velna Maddox Bass. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom, FL. She was active in her community working with UMU; home demonstration clubs and agricultural related activities with 4-H of Jackson County. She leaves to cherish her memory son, Tim Hatcher of Bascom, FL; daughters, Gale Manning (John) of Donalsonville, GA and Lanet James of Marianna, FL . She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tracy Fears (Stacy), Kathy Pitts, (Jeff), Deborah Bakanovic, (Joe) and great grandchildren, Niki Fears, Lane Fears, Caleb Pitts, Lauren Pitts, Aaron Peters, Joseph Bakanovic, Kyle Bakanovic and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Bass and Annie Velna Maddox Bass, her husband Walter Thomas Hatcher, and brother, Henry Ford Bass.
