Jessie Irene Hewitt Knight

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Jessie Irene Hewett Knight, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Knight passed away Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. Knight will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Hollis and Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Swearingan Cemetery south of Colquitt, GA with Branden Castleberry, Sgt. Stephen Castleberry, Ricky Carter, Jr., Keith Laseter, B.J. Jones, Jim Barker and Brett Hewett serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Knight was born in Vass, NC on January 8, 1928 to the late William H. and Cory E. Brown Hewett. Mrs. Knight worked as telephone operator and was a long time member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son Jimie Hewett of Donalsonville, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Cory E. Brown Hewett; her husband, Joe Knight; four brothers, and five sisters.
