Leroy William Roberts III

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Leroy W. Roberts, III, age 60, of Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Roberts passed away Saturday afternoon, June 22, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Roberts will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Deese officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Taylor Lane, Jared Fiveash, William Yates, Alan Ingram, Ryan Posey, and Charles Brackin serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday night, June 25, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Roberts was born in Charleston, SC on Oct. 15, 1952 to the now late LeRoy William Roberts, Jr. and Carol Milligan Roberts. He was a multicraft journeyman and worked for a number of years as a bus mechanic for the Miller County School System. Mr. Roberts was an excellent high school football player and enjoyed assisting his son when he played football. He also loved hunting and fishing. Of all things he was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw. Mr. Roberts was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Latrisa Roberts of Donalsonville, GA; a son, Cody Roberts and his wife Shannon of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Jessica Crum and her husband Alan of Cottonwood, AL and Cynthia Roberts of Gaston, SC; one brother, Donald McDonald and his wife Tamra of Charleston, SC; and three sisters, Suzette Timmons and her husband John of Awendaw, SC, Melissa McConnell of Georgetown, SC, and Amanda Vincent and her husband Vince of Georgetown, SC. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Hillary and Hadleigh Roberts, Nicholas, Andrew, and Madison; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy William Roberts, Jr. and Carol Milligan Roberts McDonald.
