JAMES B. DYKES

We regret to announce the passing of James B. Dykes, age 86, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Springfield Bapitst Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Mr. Dykes was born in Henry County, AL on March 10, 1919 to the late John Henry and Hattie Lou Owens Dykes. He retired from the US Army after 20 years of service, and had worked as a barber for many years after his retirement. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of many years Billye Galina of Donalsonville, GA; one sister Catherine Smith of Morrow, GA; He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and family friends. Pallbearers will be masons J. C., Earnest, Emerson Stinnett, Harold Yates, Marlon James, Bo Earnest and Marvin Tucker. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
