June 25, 1940 — May 8, 2013

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Jerry Lee Parker, age 72, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Mark Payne officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mr. Parker was born in West Newton, Ohio on June 25, 1940 to the late Harry and Gladyes McClung Parker. He retired from Super Foods, Inc. in Bellefontaine, Ohio; he had been employed by the Wapakoneta School System in Ohio; moved to Georgia in 2001. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA; took care of Colquitt Cemetery and enjoyed his work there. He loved his little dog, Isabell; he always loved helping people in any way that he could. He really enjoyed spending time with his little great grandson Brayden Inlow; he felt especially blessed that his granddaughter Harmony named her little boy after him, Owen Parker Sunday. In 1978, he married, Rita Prater Parker; he is survived by his wife Rita, nine daughters and one son; daughters, Tammy Berry, Kathi Brown, Della Kiser, Terrie Chilcoat, Bonnie Sunday, Becky Koeper and Susan Debell all of Ohio and Elizabeth Stalnaker and Laura Beebe of Georgia; son, Terry Parker of Ohio. 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Ann Johnson, Jerilou Young and two brothers, Russle Parker and Gene Watts of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gladyes McClung Parker; one sister and one grandson.
