We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Vaudine Sheffield Johnson, age 88, of Donalsonville who passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. George Sheffield, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Grove/Rock Pond Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held on Monday evening, March 24, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Miller County, GA on November 11, 1919 to the late John E. and Hattie Lou Daniels Sheffield. She was a homemaker and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Johnson leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Matrice Kemper of Tampa, FL and Geraldine Hale of Tallahassee, FL; two sons, Eugene Miller and Troy Johnson both of Donalsonville, GA; two sisters, Johnnie Lue of Texas and Margie Folsom of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Horace Sheffield of Quincy, FL; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Hattie Lou Daniels Sheffield; her husband, Taft Johnson; a son, Harold Miller; and a grandson, David Miller. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
