Amelia Earnest

We regret to announce the passing of Ms. Amelia Earnest, age 63, of Donalsonville, Ga. Ms. Earnest passed away Sunday, March 31,2013 at her residence. Memorial services for Ms. Earnest will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Ms. Earnest was born Sept. 28, 1949 in Seminole County, GA to the now late Hoke and Vera White Earnest. She was a 1967 graduate of Seminole County High School and later graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in purchasing. She worked as a purchasing agent with Raytheon as well as MTA(Mass Transit Authority) in Los Angeles among others. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Ms. Earnest is survived by two brothers, J.E. "Bo" Earnest and his wife Jerrie of Donalsonville, GA and Bill Earnest and his wife Joyce also of Donalsonville, GA; a sister, Jewel Seymour and her husband Clariss of Tifton, GA; a special cousin and friend, Deloris Bevel of Sylvester, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoke and Vera White Earnest; a brother, Bobby Earnest; and a nephew, Stacy Earnest. Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice 432 E.
