We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Chrystelle Conrad Rodgers, age 87, of Bascom, FL who passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at The Courtyard at the Millpond Rehab and Nursing Center in Marianna, FL. Graveside services for Mrs. Rodgers will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10:00 CST at the Bascom United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bascom, FL. with the Rev. Bob Bennett officiating. Mrs. Rodgers was born in Crosby, AL on December 28, 1920 to the late Benjamin and Julia Ditty Conrad. She worked until her retirement as a supervisor at Sunland in Marianna, FL. She was married to Walker Whitfield Rodgers who preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Rodgers leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, James B. Conrad and his wife Phyllis of Bascom, FL and Chester Conrad and his wife Sue of Webb, AL; two sisters, Gertrude Smith of Columbus, GA and Myrtle Boner of Anniston, AL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Julia Ditty Conrad; her husband, Walker Whitfield Rodgers; and two sisters, Lucille Johnson and Lottie Tully. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home of Donalsonville, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
