We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Marion Mosley Johnson, age 91, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Johnson was born in Cedar Springs, GA on September 29, 1921 to the late Porter and Lessie Mosley Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He was a World War II veteran and while in the Navy he taught other how to repair planes. He was also a car salesman for many years in Jacksonville with Duval Motors and had owned his own car lot in Bainbridge, GA. Mr. Johnson was a 70 year member of the Masons. He also was a member of the Lions Club, the American Legion, the Scottish Rites, Shriners, and the Fleet Reserve Association. He was also a proud and joyful member of the Three Square Coffee Club in Donalsonville. He is survived by two daughters, Janice and Anthony Siddell of Glen St. Mary, FL, Jeannine and Kenneth Whitley of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; three grandchildren, Kenneth Alan Whitley, Jr., Kelly Ann Whitley Borjas, Stacey Adrienne Siddell; and five great grandchildren, Mason Whitley, Samantha Whitley, Jazlynn Borjas, Noah Anderson and Emily Roth. His sweetheart Marie Spooner and his best buddy Annie, and many friends in his beloved State of Georgia and North Florida were always in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Lessie Mosely Johnson as well as his brothers and sisters- G. LaRue, Hiram M., Martha Inez Johnson Bynum, Mamie Johnson Chambers Clark, Kada Johnson Gibson, and Porter A Johnson. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
