June 4, 1924 — September 28, 2005

We regret to announce the passing of Ruby Lee Worrell Bell, age 81, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Extendicare Hospice in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Rollin Rathel and Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, September 30, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mrs. Bell was born in Miller County on June 24, 1924 to the late Josh and Clyde Glass McLendon. She worked as a lunchroom worker in the Seminole County School System for over 19 years, and attended Donalsonville First Freewill Baptist Church. Miss Ruby was a great lady, loved by all who knew her, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husbands Hilton Worrell in 1963 and Hubert Otis Bell in 1977. Also her parents, and two sisters Lullian Benton and Johnnie Worrell and one brother Bill McLendon. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons Larry Worrell and his wife LoRae of Headland, AL; Danny Worrell and his wife Rhonda of Jakin, GA; Brad Bell and his wife Joy of Donalsonville, GA; one daughter Charolyn Mercer of Valdosta, GA; one brother Ross McLendon of Colquitt, GA; two sisters Decimar Glass of Donalsonville, GA and Lillian Heard of Albany, GA. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
