We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Irene Milligan Dismuke, age 73, of Jakin, GA. Mrs. Dismuke passed away Thursday evening, February 14, 2013 in Tallahassee, FL. Funeral services for Mrs. Dismuke will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Zachary Taylor King, Timothy Brandon King, Randy Lamar Stinnett, Robert Mitchell Newbern, Champ Hawkins, Christopher Smith and Ladon Ray Dismuke serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Dismuke was born in Sheffield, AL on September 10, 1939 to the late John Robert Milligan and Elizabeth Bruce Milligan. She worked as a waitress and was of the Baptist faith. She was also a very loving grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Don Dismuke of Jakin, GA; a son, Stephen Ray Dismuke of Jakin, GA; three daughters, Brenda Lee Newbern (Leroy, Jr.) of Donalsonville, GA, Marla Marie Hawkins (William) of Russellville, AL, and Patricia Dismuke King (Timothy) of Athens, GA; a brother, Leroy Milligan of Muscle Shoals, AL; two sisters, Earline Milligan of Florida, and Marie Horton of Sheffield, AL. she is also survived by ten grandchildren, Timothy Brandon King (Morgan), Zachary Taylor King, Ashley Marie Young, Robert Mitchell Newbern, Tesia Marie Newbern Lee (Brian), Billy Hawkins (Sherry), Champ Hawkins (Monica), Caleb Hawkins, Ladon Ray Dismuke, and Steven Ray Dismuke, Jr.; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert Milligan and Elizabeth Bruce Milligan. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
