MICHAEL ANTHONY CHILDRESS

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Michael Anthony Childress, age 45, of Boulder, CO who passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Childress will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home at 2:00 PM in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. You may sign the online guest register at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mr. Childress was born in Pensacola, FL on October 28, 1967 to the late Grover Lloyd Childress and Sabra Faircloth Childress. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as registered critical care nurse. He also enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his brothers, Jeffrey Childress and his wife Julie Houston Childress of Jakin, GA, and Ronald Childress of Athens, AL; a niece, Elizabeth Childress of Cairo, GA; a nephew, Alan Childress of Jakin, GA; his uncle, Marshall Faircloth; and his aunts, Kathryn Smith, Charlotte Phillips, Etta Tucker, and Amanda Sue Preston. . He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Lloyd Childress and Sabra Faircloth Childress. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
