We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lillie Margie Drake McLendon, age 91 of Jackson, GA formerly of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013. Funeral services for Mrs. McLendon will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 12:00 PM (CST) 1:00 PM (EST) at Oakview Church of God in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Eric Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Oakview Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM (CST) 7:00-9:00 PM (EST). You may sign the online guest register at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mrs. McLendon was born on September 26, 1921 to the late Sam Jones Drake and Beulah Lee Barber Drake. Mrs. McLendon was a member of Oakview Church of God and was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy McLendon of Ashford, AL, Cyrus McLendon; three sisters, Susie Gardner of Donalsonville, GA, Wilma Thomas of Conyers, GA, Rita Ingram; as well as fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Jones Drake and Beulah Lee Barber Drake; her husband Elner Edward McLendon; a son, Dale McLendon; a daughter, Beulah Gipson; and her brother, Howard Drake..
