HARLESS SMITH

December 21, 1925 — February 4, 2008

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Harless Smith, age 82, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday morning, February 4, 2008, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Services for Mr. Smith will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville. Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born on December 21, 1925 in Ashford, AL to the late Ranzy and Ada Love Smith. He was married to Irene Gibson Smith, who preceeded him in death in 1998. He was an Avon Sales Representative and previously worked at Jernigan's Gulf Service Station and B&B Electric and Furniture Store. He is survived by two sons, Michael Smith of Donalsonville, GA and Ricky and Sylvia Smith of Colquitt, GA; one daughter, Judy Smith of Donalsonville, GA; two sisters, Ezella Jones and Eva Nell and Radford Jones, also of Donalsonville; two grandchildren Melissa and Sgt. Chris Ussery USMC of Jacksonville, NC and Tyler Harden of Colquitt, GA. Two great grandchildren, Christopher and Laurel Ussery of Jacksonville, NC also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ranzy and Ada Love Smith; his wife, Irene Gibson Smith; and four brothers, Meade Smith, Earnest Smith, Sylvester Smith, and Alvin Smith. Pallbearers will be Dr. Milton Jones, Lamar Jones, Sgt. Chris Ussery USMC, Don Bassett, Ray Albritton, and Bill Moody. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
