CECIL BOWEN

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Cecil Bowen, age 69, of Ft. Gaines and formerly Donalsonville, GA who passed away December 10, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Randy Stokes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Iron City, GA. You may sign the online guest register at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mr. Bowen was born in Donalsonville, GA on June 17, 1943 to the late J. B. and Dorothy Glisson Bowen. He graduated Seminole County High School Class of 1961; joining the US Army serving 2 years. After returning home he worked as a mechanic for Georgia Pacific and was a member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bowen of Ft. Gaines, GA; sons, Scott Bowen and his wife Kim of Forsyth, GA; Chad Bowen and his wife Felicia of Ft. Gaines, GA; Kevin Bowen and his wife Erica of Dothan, AL; daughter, Melissa B. Trail and her husband Marty of Sylvester, GA; brother, Tim Bowen and his wife Cindy of Donalsonville, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Josh Bowen, Erick Bowen, Ciera Bowen, Stacy Rathel, Emily Bowen, Aiden Bowen and Abbie Bowen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Dorothy Glisson Bowen; brother, Mike Bowen and sister, Jan B. Barwick. Casketbearers will be Chad Bowen, Dustin Bowen Josh Bowen, Kevin Bowen, Scott Bowen and Marty Trail.
