Myrtle Barber Miller

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Myrtle Barber Miller, age 79, of Iron City, GA who passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2008 at home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 1, 2008 at New Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church in Iron City, GA with Rev. Newton Cranford and Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Myrtle Frances Barber Miller was born in Seminole County, GA on July 22, 1928 to the late Willie Monroe and Minnie Gause Barber. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Eddie Miller, Sr. in 2002. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker and an active member of New Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church in Iron City, GA, where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and Treasurer in the past. Mrs. Miller leaves to cherish her memory one son, Eddie Miller, Jr. and his wife Karen; two daughters, Patricia Harrison and her husband Mac; Edwina Amerison and her husband Steve all of Iron City, GA; five grandchildren, Stephanie Miller, Eddie "Dee" Miller, III, Eve Trawick and her husband Yancy; Ryan Harrison and his wife Sarah; Susan Pope and her husband Scott; two sisters, Hazel Casteel of Columbus, GA and Addie Olds of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; Payson Trawick, Daryn Trawick, Arysen Trawick, Ben Pope and Miller Pope. Her parents, her husband, two brothers, George Frank Barber and Bonnie Barber and three sisters, Vera Gafford, Lois Turner and Charlotte Parker, preceded her in death. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Miller III (Dee), Ryan Harrison, Yancy Trawick, Scott Pope, Chuck Miller, and Jimmy C. Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be L.J. Miller and Billy Askew.
