Wynell Brookins Holt

We regret to aannounce the passing of Mrs. Wynell "Gan" Brookins Holt, age 92 of Iron City, GA, who passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Donalsonville, Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Holt will be held on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Oakview Church of God with Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held in Port Mayaca Cemetery in Pahokee, FL on Thursday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Holt was born in Cottonwood, AL on August 17, 1920 to the now late Ranzy and Grace Knight Brookins. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Pahokee, FL. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Tommy Holt and his wife Ann; two daughters, Brenda Bracewell and Coleen Bunting and her husband Jack; one brother, Sam Brookins; and two sisters, Gwendolyn Joiner and her husband Thomas and Norma Trawick and her husband Will. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ranzy and Grace Knight Brookins; her husband, Collie Holt; a son, Henry Holt; four brothers, Herman Brookins, Reuben Brookins, Hiram Brookins, and L.B. Brookins; a sister, Zytell Bush; and a daughter-in-law, Harriett Holt.
