We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Ray Lyons Bragg, age 87, of Newnan, GA formerly of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 in Newnan, GA Funeral services for Mr. Bragg will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Kirk Loyless officiating. Burial will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Pansey, AL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. You may sign the online guest register by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. He was born in Rotherwood, TN on April 27, 1925 to the late George Warner and Sudie Davis Bragg. He retired from the US Navy as a Chief Electrician’s Mate. He later worked with various companies retiring after 25 year of service from Georgia Pacific Paper Co. He also worked as a volunteer EMT # 2537 and was director for a number of years for Seminole County Ambulance Service. Mr. Bragg. leaves to cherish his memory his children, Timothy Bragg of Donalsonville, GA; Darrell Bragg and his wife Terrie of Newnan, GA; Robby Bragg and his wife Brenda of Sharpsburg, GA; Jerry Bragg and his wife Tara of Peachtree City, GA; Karla Griffin of Arlington, TN; Revonda Maher of Mars Hill,TN; Suzetta Wolfe of Greensboro, NC; sister, Nancy Maney of Kingsport, TN. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by her parents, George Warner and Sudie Davis Bragg; sister, Julie Pitts, brothers, George Bragg and Thomas Bragg. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
