We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Elinor Stewart, age 74, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. Curtis Earnest officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Stewart was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 21, 1938 to the late William Thomas “Bill” Sirmons and Emmie Irene McDonald Sirmons. She was an active member of Donalsonville Assembly of God Church and also the Women's Ministry. .She will be remembered as working as a nurse in various hospitals, with her last employment at Bainbridge State Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory son, Steve Stewart and his wife, Susan of Donalsonville, GA; daughters, Connie Mills and her husband Gene of Ashford, AL; Diane Tindell and her husband Jessie of Donalsonville, GA; brothers, Johnny Sirmons and his wife Addie of Millington, TN; Don Sirmons and his wife Sheila of Bristol, FL; Sam Sirmons and his wife Sandra of Climax, GA; sister, Jeannie Heard and her husband Jerry of Climax, GA. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas “Bill” Sirmons and Emmie McDonald Sirmons; her husband, Earl Stewart, brothers, Bill Sirmons and Larry Sirmons. Active casketbearers will be Gene Mill, Jr., Jeremy Whittaker, Jason Stewart, Jeffery Heard, Michael Albritton and Troy Easom.
