We regret to announce the passing of Ruby Marlene Nix Alday of Perry, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, who passed away Saturday morning, August 20, 2005 in Macon, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Alday will be held on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skippper Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvaray Assembly of God Cemetery in Decatur Co. Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Alday was born in Miller Co., GA on Feb. 6, 1937 to the late James Cross and Beatrice Thigpen Nix. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Alday leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Marlton Henry of California, Jerome Henry and his wife Dana of Bainbridge, GA, and Wade Alday and his wife Renee of Warner Robbins, GA; one daughter, Denise Cater of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Eugene Nix and his wife Grace of Colquitt, GA; and one sister, Linda Smith of Ashford, AL. Seven grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Alday was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willie B. Alday: a sister, Lois Howell, and four brothers, Clarence Nix, Lamar Nix, Ralph Nix, and Wayne Nix. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
