Lester Gipson

We regret to announce the passing of Lester Gipson, age 73, of Marianna, FL formerly of Iron CIty, GA who passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Jackson County Hospital in Marianna, FL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM at in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Teresa Taylor officiating. Mr. Gipson was born in Houston County, Al on July 15, 1934 to the late Thomas Vollie and Della Louise Hughes Gipson. He lived in the Seminole County area all his life and worked as a diesel mechanic. He is survived by two sons Thomas "Pete" and Janie Gipson and Curtis and Shrona Gipson all of Donalsonville, GA; five daughters, Frances and Joe Franklin of Donalsonville; Darlene Wilkerson of Pensacola, FL; Brenda and Kenneth Blair of Bainbridge, GA; Amy and Duane Bynum of Thomasville, GA and Marilyn and Delbert Mixon of Bonifay, FL; one brother, Henry and Sandy Gipson of Phoenix City, AL; four sisters, Louetta Moat of Donalsonville, GA; Laura and Bobby Kirkland of Blakely, GA; Stella Money of Columbia, AL and Lucy Newson of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Beulah Gipson. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
