We regret to announce the passing of Charles McDonald, age 87, of Iron City, GA who passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at Evans-Skipper. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He was married to Gladys Hile McDonald for 49 years, lived in this area for the past 20 years, and worked as an electrician. He is survived by his wife Gladys McDonald, two sons Raymond Glen McDonald and his wife Pamela all of Iron CIty, GA; and James Michael McDonald and his wife Debra of Pelham, GA; Seven grandchildren, Curtis, James, Steven, Amanda, Roger, Jennifer and Matthew and three great grandchildren also survive. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
