MILDRED CREOLA JOHNSON ASHLEY

We regret to announce the passing of Mildred Creola Johnson Ashley, age 70, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Ashley was born in Robinsville, NC on October 7, 1934 to the late John Rebus and Ruth Irene George Johnson. She married Claude Thomas Ashley on May 2, 1953. She was a homemaker and an advid lover of animals. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Claude Ashley; a son Dr. Claude Ashley, Jr. (Toot) and his wife Kelly of Dothan, AL; two sisters Connie Daniels and her husband Robin of Penrose, NC and Jean Gillespie of Atlanta, GA. One grandchild Jude Claude Ashley also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Mike Ashley in 2000. Pallbearers will be Dr. Scott Tatum, Larry Tyler, Wondell Culbreth, Jimmy Drake, Gene Drake and Dr. Cleve Bridges. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seminole Miller Animal Rescue Team (S.M.A.R.T.).
