ROY GENE PHILLIPS

April 12, 1952 — December 5, 2007

We regret to announce the passsing of Roy Gene "Man" Phillips, age 55, of Thomasville, GA, who passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA on December 5, 2007. Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Hiram Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA.Visitation will be held Friday, December 7, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mr. Phillips was born on April 23, 1952 in Seminole County to the late Jim and Minnie Martin Phillips. He was a Foreman with the Decatur County Road Department and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by one son, Jason Heath Phillips and his wife Gwen of Bainbridge, GA; one daughter, Amy Rogers and her husband Adam of Thomasville, GA; five brothers, Albert Phillips and his wife Mollie of Dothan, AL; Robert Phillips, Larry Phillips and his wife Linda of Iron City, GA; Jake Phillips and Thomas "Red" Phillips of Donalsonville, GA; three sisters, Eloise McCusker and her husband Doug of Cleveland, GA; Louise Chambless and her husband Nelson of Colquitt, GA and Lorene Jones and her husband M. L. of Eldorendo, GA. Three grandchildren Mattisyn Rogers, Emily Clayton and Robert Clayton also survive. Pallbearers will be Michael Phillips, Shannon Phillips, Paul Phillips, Terry Phillips, Rocky Phillips and Glenn McMillian, Jr. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
