MARIE PHILLIPS

We regret to announce the passing of Marie Phillips, age 73, of Iron City, GA who passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Long Term Care Hospital of Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Boomer and Rev. Jimmy Hornsby officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Vistiation will be held Tuesday, July 19, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was born in Miller County, GA on September 22, 1931 to the late Robert Lee and Laura Mae Norris Daniels. She had lived in this area all her life, was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker. A sweet lady and loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Robert Dallion Phillips; two sons Robert W. Sherrer of Bainbridge, GA; Raymond Sherrer of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters Judy Phillips of Donalsonville, GA; Theresa Buckhalter and her husband Weyman of Donalsonville, GA; three sisters Ollie Mae Dukes of Bainbridge, GA; Hazel McLendon of Donalsonville, GA and Mildred Cason of New Port Ritchie, FL. Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers will be Larry Bird, Jeff Sherrer, Heith Sherrer, Andy Spooner, Chris Buckhalter and Quint McCoy.
